Meredith Anne Sutton graduated in 2003 with a BFA in metals and jewelry from Savannah College of Art and Design. In 2004 she was accepted as the Regional Emerging Artist in Residence at Artspace, a non-profit visual art center in Raleigh, NC. After completing her residency, she returned to Savannah to build her studio and develop her jewelry business. Meredith's work has been shown and sold in galleries and exhibits up and down the eastern seaboard. Her jewelry has been published in several publications, namely the Lark book publication, 1000 Rings.
Meredith uses literature, poetry and found objects as the foundation for her unique pieces. Contrasts of rusted metal, mechanical objects and relics of buildings add to her repertoire of inspiration. Her work in silver acts as a canvas to reveal narrative stories that express intimacy and individuality in each piece she creates. Her medium includes sterling silver, 18k gold, bronze, and acrylic. |
